Project Description

I’ve been a Coach of The Gabriel Method for over a decade, in fact, I was one of the first three coaches Jon ever trained. Since those early days, I have seen The Gabriel Method grow from a book to a worldwide movement and in doing so, its changed the lives of thousands of people. Personally, through The Gabriel Method’s coaching programs I’ve had the pleasure to teach taught 100’s of people around the world what I believe to be the most genuine holistic approach to sustainable weight loss.

How I used The Gabriel Method to shed 17 kilograms

Topping the scales at 107.2 kg one morning I knew I was horribly off track. The stress of our son Harry’s illness was taking its toll on me, my FAT Program was well and truly on.

You’d think with my knowledge, my experience coaching, I’d have recognised earlier the impact Harry’s cancer treatment was having on me. To be honest, I did but didn’t care. So focussed on Harry’s recovery little else mattered for my wife Sharon and me apart from Harry and our other children, James and Ella. Our own welfare was a distant last.

107.2 kg was the heaviest I’d ever been. And as I stared down at the scales it hit me solidly. My FAT Program was ..

I decided to practice what I preached. That morning I began The Gabriel Method.

plentiful, and that there’s no reason to overeat or store fat.

The Gabriel Method is not a diet; it’s a holistic approach to wellness where you add back in what your body is truly starving for. With that in mind, it’s very helpful to pre-plan your day to include the essential nutrients, emotional support practices, and stress relieving visualizations that keep you on track.

Below you will find the format I personally used to lose weight with The Gabriel Method. I attribute my success to simply following these steps daily with an openness and willingness to change.

Benjamin Franklin once said “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail” and I believe this is true.

For that reason when I used The Gabriel Method to lose weight I wrote myself a daily plan. I called it My Ideal Day and I think it was key to my success. it gave my mind a path to follow, reduced significantly the question  It was more than a checklist.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

IN THE MORNING: CREATE YOUR IDEAL DAY

  • Listen to the “Morning Visualisation” OR create your own visualisation.

I’d listen to GM’s SMART Music, sit quietly for 5 -10 minutes and visualise my ideal day. In my mind’s eye, I’d see myself fit, slim, strong going about my day. A day where all my actions are positive and all outcomes serve me well.

Coaching Tip: Whilst ideal to do this practice first thing in the morning it is not essential. Often I’d do it just before beginning work, or even mid-morning. But get it done.

BEFORE BREAKFAST

  • Drink 2 large glasses of water (add lemon or apple cider vinegar)
  • Take a strong probiotic and digestive enzyme supplement
  • Take multi vitamin & mineral supplement

Coaching Tip: Chew your food well, enjoy it, and remember that eating is wonderful, healing, and essential for life. When you eat slowly, it sends a clear signal to your body you are not in famine. Food is abundant and it is safe to release weight.
